Meeting Topics

Why You Should (not?) Write Your Own Framework

ChrisStrykesAgain

Creating your own framework is a glamorous job... a career-defining experience that everyone should take on. Right? Maybe not... Let's explore what a framework really is, and the reasons that you should (and more importantly shouldn't) create your own.

Improving Your LabVIEW Code with the VI Analyzer

The VI Analyzer is a powerful tool for code analysis and inspection in LabVIEW, with many pieces of core functionality included with LabVIEW itself. In addition to identifying style and performance issues, the VI Analyzer can also detect problems that would be extremely difficult to find through visual code inspection, particularly across larger codebases. Learn a variety of topics related to the VI Analyzer, from the basics of its use to creating custom tests for your own specific code inspection needs. Also see real-world scenarios in which the VI Analyzer was used to find (and in some cases, automatically fix!) well-hidden bugs in LabVIEW code.
