I propose an IoT topic (best practice to monitor plant equipment for the final goal of Predictive Maintenance)
where I could present my solution we are applying to Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

I could talk about VIMs, and how they have helped reduce the amount of code I have to write.

we moved May 2 to May 30 to have a recap on “what’s new on LabVIEW” after NIWeek.
We are still looking for suggestions on presentations and presenters for the rest of our meetings this year. Including the one on May 30th. If you see a presentation at NI Week that you would like to see at one of our meetings (where we can dive more into the details), please do let us know via this post.

Fab

Title: Getting there from here
Summary: You have a customer requesting a solution, where do you start? How do you plan an architecture? Take a walk through the customer request, follow-up investigation and architecture design for a quick turn project (customer asked me to drop what I was already doing and give a proposal in 5 minutes and a finished project in no more than two weeks).
Notes: Due to the date change, I cannot present this for the (now) May 30th meeting, but since it has been discussed as a possibility for 2-3 meetings I am trying to get it out there for consideration.

Meeting is now moved (again) to Thursday June 20th, and my topic is confirmed: https://events.ni.com/profile/form/index.cfm?PKformID=0x390394abcd
Aaron, would you want to present your topic then as well?

I am available and can present then.

Hey all,
I've created a wrapper library for the LabVIEW Memory Manager that allows C-style pointer allocation and deallocation in LabVIEW. I've also been working on a native libc (Standard C library) wrapper for LabVIEW that allows for programming applications using C functions, but still graphically in LabVIEW.
Those are related enough I could make that a single presentation.

If y'all ever have a slot to fill in the schedule I'm happy to give any of my presentations from the past:
Improving your LabVIEW Code with the VI Analyzer
http://bit.ly/brainlesslabview
...and any others y'all have seen in the past that you think would be good for this audience.
I'm giving a presentation at CLA Summit 2019 on improving VI performance, but I can't commit to having it done by the next LVAF meeting on August 1st.
