trouble using hpesgdxx.llb to accept ext.1 input from hp e4432A

hi all,

I am a newbie at labview. Currently, I am using visa3.0, ni 488.2 version 2.0, and the vi library
hpesgdxx.llb from the hpesgd.zip driver set I download
from national instrument, and the gbip-usb-b connector to interface with my digital generator, the hp e4432A-1e5-un4. The problem I am having with this is I attached a waveform generator to the ext 1 input of e4432A, and set fm source to ext1 AC-coupled. In the subvi hpesgdxx config fm modulation.vi file, I even changed the fm source to ext1 1. Then when I click the run arrow hpesgdxx getting start.vi, the fm source on both the digital generator and and hgesgdxx config fm automatically changed to internal 0. It doesn't seem to accept input f
rom the waveform generator connect to the ext 1 input. (the waveform generator I used is agilent 33120A). Can anyone give me some feedback.

Thank you

I also forgot to include the message from labview,
after running the program, there is this message in
labview
"hpesgdxx Error Query;
instrument reports:
+501,"Attenuator hold setting over range."

Changing the settings manually of the instrument and in the subvi will not change the setting in the Getting Started program. So to change the fm source to ext1 1, you need to open Getting Started to and make that change. You need to open Getting Started »Config FM signal then wire in a value for FM source on Config FM modulation.
