where can I find "scan from string" in order to use it tu read more than a byte from a buffer in Visa read?

it doesnt work I send "^Q" and the loop doesnt stop and the VI  dont recieve it.

I have 2 serial port and I am using digicom to send   ^Q

can you please test it

If you are refering to the modification I made, it does work with LabVIEW sending or with Hyperterminal sending. I am not going to install a program that I do not know anything about. I would suggest you run the modified VI, send your string, and do a screen capture of the VI that shows data in the string indicator.

p.s. Also noticed in your original VI that you have the termination character enabled. This should not be related to your problem but you could turn it off.

I take back what I said about the VI working here. The VI I posted was not the one I used to test. I changed the > function to the >= but did not save it before I did the attachment.
