labview & testo toolbox

Solved!

Hi Antonio,

It did not work for niether of 350. German engineer deteremined it could be becuase of 350-S but later on when I received different control unit it was the same case. They tried to send me various DLL files and asked me for text logs when I was trying to establish communication each time. But nothing worked in my case. Finally engineer from Germany gave up.

Thanks,

Rupesh.

Hello,

So I received the 80Mb  toolbox

after having contactd the Testo (from the german site).

So the dll problem I had before is now resolved.

The premade vi example to acquire a measurfement doesn't work but I have noticed that the initialization vi

for my case (usb connection to the pc) did work.

So I create my vi for the acquisition using the initialization premade vi.

Finally I can communicate and acquire the data.

To make the vi myself I studied a bit the way it is done the premade vi coming with the toolbox (the vi that I tried at the beginning and did not work).

From there I found out how to retrive the data after initialization using th eactivex control.

Thank you all for the help

Hi all,

sorry to bring up this old post but i desperately need the testo toolbox. I'm trying since July to use my Testo 845 with Labview, without any success. I must say that support from Testo was quite poor, some of my e-mail were ignored at all. Now I read that there's a full version of the Testo toolbox (the 80 mb one), obtainable only on request. I bit disappointing in my point of view.

Can anyone send me the file? I would really appreciate your help.

Regards,

Daniele

I'm curious about this; I've used Testo combustion stuff, and now may have to use the Testo 560/570 (for refrigerant analysis) with Labview.

Sounds like support might be a bit sketchy.

Extremely poor suppot from Testo about Labview. Initially local dsitributor cliamed that combustion analyzer can communicate with Labview. When I recieved the toolbox none of the serial initialization VI's in toolbox could talk to Testo 350-XL. Nobody in US or Germnay could tell me what serial commands are needed for the instrument. I struggled with it for few months.

I do not know about other Testo models.

Bleah.    How did you get the full toolbox, BTW?

I requested it from US office and received a CD. This was couple of years ago. It used to be on their downlaod center as well. Try the following link.

Local Testo seller just sells them; no tech support.  If you can pass on the contact, that would be great.  Trying to get technical help from Testo seems tough.

Website doesn't show any full toolbox.

Hi,

To get the full toolbox you have to request it via support. Some years ago they gave a "private" link to download the toolbox. As I have already writen, even with this toolbox my analyzer didn't work. Some Testo engineer in Germany (I don't remember how I got his contact) had to make new dll's to suit my needs.

Try to get in touch with someone from Testo who agnoleges that can't help you and then he/she will get you in touch with someone who really can help you!

Hello 🙂

I am trying to connect a Testo 435 and it uses USB port connection to the PC; does it make any difference with the serial measurement example given in the toolbox? since I do not have COM port number.

I don't know very much about ports and data communication speeds.

Thank you!
