install new pci gpib card with labview 4.1 and windowsXP

What drivers work with LabVIEW 4.1 / WindowsXP and a NI PCI-GPIB 488 card and what are installation steps?

Need to upgrade computer from WindowsNT with ISA GPIB to WindowsXP wit PCI GPIB, but MUST keep using LabVIEW 4.1 and am not if older or newer drivers/software will work.

Ja90254,

According to this chart you will need something prior to version 1.7 to work with LabVIEW 4.1:

LabVIEW and NI-488.2 Version Compatibility

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/2BFCEE471BECB95F862574020059117E

According to the readme version 1.2 does not support the PCI GPIB devices.

Therefore your best bet will be version 1.3 which supports PCI-GPIB but only lists Windows NT as supported operating systems.

NI-488.2 1.3 - Windows NT

ja90254, did you ever solve your problem? The version compatibility chart that was shown reflects the versions that are tested prior to release. That knowledgebase even mentions that other versions will probably work, they are just not tested. Backward compatibility is an important feature of NI-488.2. You should be able to download the latest NI-488.2 driver and use it, regardless of the version of LabVIEW you are using.
