delete buffer after read

I have a VI to read a serial port and when she becomme a command she close the visa read  and send something. all is in a loop. the probleme is: after reading the port and closing the visa serial read the buffer will not be deleted and the next time its  read the old things in the buffer.

I want to delete the readbuffer after closing the visa read.

how can I do it?
