Hi,
The IMAQ for USB driver will support any camera with a DirectShow filter. As long as the device has DirectShow support then the driver will work with it. What are you hoping to do with the video? The functions within the IMAQ for USB driver are very limited compared to the other IMAQ drivers.

Hi olivia,
thanks for the reply and i apologize for the tardy reply. the hardware is a personal video recorder. its used like a tivo but for high definition. i will be attaching a hd sony handycam to it. the question is if the usb vi's can support the hardware. which by your post they will. It would be easier to use IEEE1394 but i have requirements and they strictly prohibit me from using IEEE1394. I was hoping to us the imaq usb vi's to initialize a continuos stream. then using the usb snap vi snap a certain number of images at a certain time interval. I have got the project working with a webcam but the quality is alot less than i need. so hopefully the hdpvr works.

Hi William,
It seems you have used our driver with your webcam, so I don't need to explain what you can do with the driver. As I had mentioned before, as long as the device is Direct Show compliant, you should be able to use the IMAQ for USB driver with it.
