battery testing using Labview

Hello everyone!...I have been given the task to start developing a test system
to test and monitor our batteries here at John Hopkins. I'd like to know
what experiences anyone has had doing this so I may get off on the right
foot. Theres never time to waste time here it seems. Anyones help and ideas
would be very helpful...THANK YOU!

This is more of a question than an answer, since your question was posted almost 4 years ago!!!

I'm trying to do same thing (battery test) with LabVIEW, but I'm a novice at this thing. I am specifically trying to put a mechanism so that LabVIEW can do a switching between on and off cycle (on = put load on battery; off = no load on battery), but have no idea what to do. Can you help me with this, or how to write a LabVIEW code in general to create a simple battery test system? I would really appreciate your response on this.
