ag5462x installation driver error

hi all,

I am trying to install the ag5462x_LV71 driver version 2.210.7 on a Windows 2K system.
I have Labview 7.1 installed in this laptop (there are other older version also installed 6.1, 7.0)

When I run the installation file I get the following error message:
"Setup has detected a third party IVI driver in the C:\Program Files\IVI\Bin directory.
Please uninstall the existing driver before proceeding with this installation"

I haven't uninstalled the other driver since I do not know what it does. I don't want to damage anthing
that is currently working on this laptop.

I install the ag5462x driver downloaded from IDNET successfully. I am not sure what's wrong on your machine.

But ag5462x installer will install the ag5462x_32.dll file in C:\Program Files\IVI\Bin directory.

There is possiblility that you already had a file named ag5462x_32.dll in this folder. And the existed file is conflict

in version with the installer you download from IDNET.

If you already have an IVI driver installed on your system, you should be able to uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs >> NI IVI Specific Drivers. If you do not see the driver in the installer manager, then you might have a LabVIEW Plug and Play driver installed in the LabVIEW directory. Double-check if you already have an "ag5462x" folder in your LabVIEW directory (LabVIEW>>instr.dir) and rename it or delete it before installing the IVI driver.

I accessed the add/Remove Programs>>NI IVI Specific Drivers and selected the "Change" option.
The "ag5462x" driver was there, so I removed the old version and installed the new one without
any further problems.
