USB to serial adapters

I have been trying to read instruments connected to a USB to serial adapter (edgeport serial converter-which converts one usb port to 8 serial ports)..It seems that labview identifies the ports but acts wierdly when trying to get data from the ports.  Labview seems to uninstall and install the ports everytime it is opened and closed. ANybody has any similar issues.

Hi James,

I use USB-RS232 adapters from Belkin. I didn't see the error you described but the adapters gave a error while writing data to it.

The solution was to insert the serial buffer function after the config of the port. Maybe this also helps to solve your problem.
