The device that I am testing has a USB port which is mapped in windows to a Serial port (Silabs 210x). The problem is that when I switch from testing one unit to another the Com port is dropped (because the USB is disconnected). Window will not find the Com port again until LabView is completetly shut down. Is there a way to tell Labview to release it's lock on this device so that the port can be re-activated without having to restart LabView every time?
