Are you sending the query command with ? VISA viWrite
function never sends automatically and your query string must
include an ascii 0x0A at the end. NI-488.2 may send with a
condition of the EOT parameter.
But, normally most gpib instruments must accept cmd/query strings
without as long as EOI signal is added at the ending byte...
