By the way, if anyone makes an update to improve the quality of an instrument driver please submit the update to instrument.drivers@ni.com. We can then incorporate the update to the driver on the Instrument Driver Network. Oftentimes, serial communication issues are specific to particular instrument models and machines they are connected to; therefore, we can't always reproduce the problem here.
If a fix is made to a driver on a system that was problematic, we would like to incorporate it.
