Have you tried running the examples that come with the instrument driver? You you are having difficulty establishing communication, you should make sure that your serial settings on the instrument match those in the driver. Here is a post referencing the wire mode configuration needed for the instrument to function properly:

Hi Audra,
What error are you getting? Do you have an error number? Also, make sure you have the NI-VISA drivers installed as they are required for this driver.
Let us know if you are still having trouble!

Audra,
That is an interesting error code. Would you be able to go into the block diagram of your program and debug (using highlight execution and breakpoints) exactly where this error is being generated? It would be interesting to see where this number is coming from. Also, is this occurring in an example program or your own custom VI? Finally, do you have multiple programs talking with the instrument or is this the only one? Cheers.

Hey,
I have the same problem, but only when I try to set segment parameter; I get the same error only when I want to set the "dwell" parameter to an optional duration-time. All other paramters works without problems.
Have anybody an idea?

Thanks for your answer.
The problem is that I have to start measurment in the period of holding up the temprature by the controller. So it is very necessary that the setpoint remains constant for a period and that the controller manage this. In this period of constant temprature I need to read out Data from an electrometer every 100 ms . Maybe it will take to much processing time if I will do it by programming.
