SOS GPIB installation problem

Hi, I am desperatly trying to install GPIB. Once the installation of the CD rom done, when I click on the "Getting Started Wizard" option from Max I get this error message:"Your system registry where the NI-488.2 software information is stored is not correctly setup, please re-install the NI-488.2 software" thanks, I've done that dozen of times now. Please help me.

Windows 98/95/ME

Windows NT

If you're using Windows XP, please let me know and I can point you towards a different fix.
