Hi All,
I am trying to control Temptronics thermostream TPO4310A from LabVIEW. I am able to Control and monitor Temperature and Air flow.
I need to get the Soaking status after I have initiated Air Flow. For example, if the configured Soak time is 120 Seconds, it will take 120 seconds settle at the temperature. I need to dispaly this Soak progress on my LabVIEW screen (control value decreasing from 120 sec to 0 sec).
It seems there is no deriver VI that reads this status from instrument directly.
Please share your ideas.
(Please note, I cerntainly dont want to run a timer in LabVIEW for this purpose. I am trying to get the status from the instrument itself.)

It doesn't matter what you want or what the driver has.
What matters is does this instrument have this capability and that can only be determined by reading the remote programming manual.

Hi nyc,
Thanks for your comment.
I just figured out that we can read a condition register (TECR - Test Event Condition Register) which has 2 required bits called 'At Temperature(Soak time has elapsed)' and 'not at Temperature'. These bits will tell if Soaking done.
But yet my actual need is not possible. I cannot read the Soaking time that runs on the instrument but only the status as '0' or '1'.

Hi Anandelamaran,
Do you have the programmer manual for the Temptronics TPO04310 handy? I could not locate it on the Temptronics website.
Thanks
Srinivas

Hi Srinivas,
Of course I have. I have it in my office PC. I will share it to you tomorrow.
By the way,
It seems you are from India and working in the same domain as I am. Good to see such people here.

Hi Srinivas,
I am not able to upload the file here since it is more than 5MB. Send a mail me to my email ID elamaran@solitontech.com. I will forward the manual.

Hi, I realize that this happened an age ago but did you happen to find a solution to the soak time monitoring problem?
Thanks,
Dan
