Read Real Time data From VISA and plot on graph

Decided to do a quick cleanup of your VI.

thanks both of you.

But how can I adjust X -axis scale so that it will show 1000 sine waves per second?

Adjust your history and the min/max of the chart. Turn auto-scaling off. You'll also want to clear the chart when the VI starts.

Thanks..

But still I have a question.

It is sure that the hardware is generating the Sine wave of 1 kHz frequency (i.e. 1000 waves at 1sec).

But it is not actualy showing it over graph. you can see in the image that there is no 1000 waves but very very less of them.

And what did you change your history length to?

I changed my history to 4096.

Sorry, Actualy the generator itself not providing me that much samples per second.

I think I have done the fastest possible reading part. But still it is not showing results as desired.

It was a C-code (generating a sine wave of 1kHz frequency with 16ksps) written just to test if the REAL TIME DAQ is possible SERIALY or not.

It will only be depended on the buad rate? or not?

Do you guys have any suggestions on REAL TIME data aqcuisition and plottings in synchronisation?

Because it is essential for our future task, that we will be generating freqencies having values in MHz. can they be possible to show??

A MHz transfer rate is far higher than any standard com port's baud rate.

You might want to consider an NI scope/digitizer.

But NI Scope is an NI product. Can I use NI Scope in my third party device? NO hah??

Of course you can't but if you can't design an acquisition device with the specs that you need then perhaps you should just buy what you need.

You really need to abandon the rs-232 approach. Look into using high speed USB if you are really committed to an in-house design. Hardware design is really outside the scope of this thread and board.
