RS232 with FPGA crio - anyone done this ?

This example written in FPGA 8 need updating and does not work in FPGA 2014. I get an

error -61496 "Missing NumberOfSyncRegistersForRead property in project...Please contact National Instruments for technical support.

I am not new to cRIO FPGA and have reloaded the example code in a clean project 2x and still get this error. I might just rewrite the FPGA portion of the code from scratch.

The example is not the problem - the error is from the FPGA CLIP for the I/O lines. The example compiles fine without the I/O nodes in it.

I am pursuring this issue on the FPGA SOM Forum.
