Printing directly to Adobe PDF with an HP 8591E spectrum analyzer

I would like to print the output screen of an HP 8591E analyzer to a pdf format.  I have had some success communicating through basic commands to the analyzer.  Does anyone know of an application for this problem.  The analyzer has a single copy button which ouputs the screen to a printer.  I would like to send that data into the pc and have it convert it to pdf.  Thanks everyone

Hi Kirk,

I'm not sure if it would be possible to utilize the Print button of the analyzer, but if you are able to get data into your PC through GPIB, then you might be able to use Adobe Acrobat and the PDFwriter driver to print the data from your development environment.  I doubt there is a way to get the exact image used by the Print button on the analyzer.  You might try contacting HP to see if they have developed an application that can do this.

Thank you,

Yes I think you are right.   As of right now I think I am going to simulate the analyzer screen the best I can and print that to PDF.  Thank you very much for your insight!!!
