I have also had hangup problems with NI-VISA 18.5 runtime, as well as 18.0.
On a small application I built, the installer would freeze up around 6% and hang up the Windows Installer Task in task manager.
I tried installing v18.5 separately, and it hung up at 3%. The next option I will try to to install Device Drivers 2019 on the target PC and hope that it works. If anyone were to roll back the driver, which is the more recent version of VISA that did not have this issue?
