NI GPIB causes kernel panic in OSX10.5.2

Running the latest version of the NI GPIB drivers for a PCI-GPIB card in a PowerPC machine. Everything works fine under OS 10.5.1, but when I upgraded the machine to 10.5.2, reading anything from the GPIB bus caused a kernel panic. Writing was fine, but any attempt to read immediately killed the OS. I tried this on two separate machines (a G4 and a G5), using two different cards, with the same result. I'm now in the process of reverting to 10.5.1 until this can be fixed.

The GPIB Troubleshooting application reported no problems. The card was accessed using LabVIEW 7.1.

Hello,
The latest version of the 488.2 drivers for the MAC X OS is 2.4,
however this only supported up to version 10.4.2 versions of the PowerPC MAC X OS

For versions of 488.2 drivers along with compatible OS please click here.

Until support is added for the 10.5.2 OS version you should probably revert back
to your old set-up.

Let us know if you need anything else.

Thank you for the response. Does NI plan to support 10.5 for PowerPC in some future version of NI-488, and if so, is there any estimate as to when that might be available?

Hello,
I have asked and as yet there are no plans to add support for the MAC X 0S 10.5.2
Our R&D department would consider adding support for your OS if enough requests are make.
To make a request please fill out a Product Suggestion found here.

I just found this thread...  Thanks for TAGS!

Actually there were plans at that time to add support for Mac OS X 10.5.X.  As you may know, the latest drivers GPIB 2.5.5  support 10.5.X on Intel Macs but only 10.4.X for PPC Macs.
