NI GPIB-USB-A issues

I have a client that has been having trouble with GPIB-USB-A and our software.  I am begining to think it is an NI HW or driver issue.  I am trying to determine the recommended driver for a NI GPIB-USB-A box on Windows XP (And in a couple of days Windows Vista - since they need to upgrade).  The same code works perfectly on an GPIB-PCI(new and old boards)/PCMCIA/PCI+ Windows XP setups (see spy file attachment for errors on a GPIB-USB-A setup).

GPIB.INI file
[^INFO]
Driver=GPIB-USB-A
Version=1.00
Type=0xFF
NumGpibBoards=4
NumGpibDevices=32

[GPIB0]
AUTOPOLL=Yes
CICPROT=No
EOSchar=0
EOScmp=7-bit
EOSrd=No
EOSwrt=No
EOT=Yes
HSCableLength=Off
PAD=0
PPollTime=Default
SAD=None
SC=Yes
SRE=No
TIMING=500nsec
TMO=10sec

Per the readme in Version 2.4, support was dropped in that version and 2.5 does not indicate that it has been added.  Does version 2.3 support GPIB-USB-A?(I have archived versions but it looks like it has been removed from the website & ftp server).

I have reviewed the website which says Version 2.2 of the unified driver is recommended per http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5326

You never stated which version fo the driver you were using.  Is it 2.4, 2.5 or the recommended 2.2.  The other problem is that there are no errors in your Spy file.  The only thing that looked like it could be an error is that the instrument didn't seem to recognize the command that was being sent.

Let us know what you think is wrong about this capture.  Perhaps a posting of a spy from a working interface can help us out as well.

As you look into this keep in mind that the GPIB-USB-A is not supported in Windows Vista.  If your customers will need to upgrade, as you stated, you may want to focus on replacing the hardware, which would solve both problems at once.
