Multiple bus problems using HPBASIC for WINDOWS

Using HPBASIC for WINDOWS ,I can get my equipment to run on either 7 bus or 8 bus but I can't put some of the equipment on one bus and the rest on the other,as it will run for a while then PC locks up..random spots in program...confuses the equipment also slows graphics dump way down..Any Ideas..????JP

Hello-

If this is a National Instruments GPIB card, try running NI-Spy. There may be some timeout errors on the GPIB bus cause the thread to block.

Consider porting the code to LabVIEW or CVI. There are numerous instrument drivers available at ni.com/idnet. These drivers will abstract the GPIB commands to high-level functions, making it very simple to build an application.
