Hi guys,

Has anyone one got anywhere with this. I have the manual for Heraeus-Votsch Mini Test Chambers VMT 04/16, VMT 04/35 and VMT 07/35. It gives the (bizarre) command protocol for controlling the ovens remotely.  I've wriiten three very simple VIs for these ovens. They: configure the serial port; put the oven into constant mode at a particular setpoint and set it running; poll the oven to see what temperature it is actually at. If you're still interested, say so and I'll post them.

Some one may be able to help me now. I'm trying to control similar ovens but fitted with the CTC or CT controllers with the E4 terminal. I don't have the command protocol for this as it doesn't seem to be in the manual. Anyone help? I should add, the oven model number is VT4004.

Regards, GGT.

Hi GGT,

I haven’t got very far with this yet, but I have collected some documentation on the climbers. I have enclose a part of it here (It maybe helps you). My plan is to start working with it over the next two weeks, so it would be nice, if you can post the VI’s.

HI MLindberg,

Thanks for the PDF. Exactly what I was looking for. As it happens, a colleague managed to dig something up very similar to your documentation this afternoon. Some one from Gallenkamp sent it to him a few months ago.

The VIs I'm posting don't use the protocol outlined in your PDF, but they work with my VMT 04/16. As the manual for that includes your VMT 07/35 I'm guessing they'll work for you. Hope they're some use, anyway. Let me know how you get on.

Regards, GGT.

Has anyone already finished, the VIs?

I was wondering if anyone has a pinout of the RS-232 interface out of the temp chamber.  I have a 25 pin d-sub and will need to get it to a 9 pin d-sub.  The manuals are a big help if I could get some communication going on with the chamber...
