Interfacing GPIB RS232 Converter with Matlab

Hi, 

I have a NI GPIB to RS-232 Converter that I am trying to use to control a Spectrum Analyser (SA) and I am here looking for help with the code. With the converter in G-mode, my understanding is that I should first create a handle to open the GPIB port and then create a another handle (via VISA) to use the serial port. So far that's working but I am not able to send or receive any commands from the SA. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Hi VR4V6E39,

I'm a little confused as to what program you are using to write your code. Are you writing it in LabView or Matlab? If it's Matlab unfortunately I'm not sure how much help I can offer writing code in Matlab.

Programming aside, have you run the GPIB-Serial Converter Wizard to make sure your serial parameters are set up properly?
