How to use MAX to communicate with a monochromator?

Hello, I get a monochromator connected to my computer via RS232 cable in hand,and my labview version is 7.0,MAX version 4.1. The accessory is the picture when I use MAX to  communicate with the monochromator. Now I don't know how to do it correctly. Do I have to set the monochromator or do something else?

You better can try to find a driver for your monochromator.
These tend to be built by NON-programmers and I know from history that each defined his own commands
or send type and vendor of this momochromator to the list
