How to run Continuum ND 6000 dye laser software (2004 version) with LabVIEW?

Hi,
i've just installed an upgrade from Continuum Lasers, which allows any Windows PC to run the stepper motor via a new version of their software. Before I used to just send text commands via RS232, but now i need LabVIEW to somehow send commands to this new software. I heard that LabVIEW and this new thing are compatible.

If you used to send commands via RS232 and the laser still supports that, then you can use LabVIEW to do the same thing. There are shipping examples for serial communication. One is called Basic Serial Write and Read. If the new software has some other type of interface, then the vendor should have some explanation of what it is. I could find nothing on the vendor's web site expect for a very small product brochure.
