This is how you will need to do it.
1) the USB-GPIB should have a driver's CD on it. Install the driver's for it
2) restart the PC
3) Get the Scope's Divers
a) If this driver is a executable install; Do a search in windows for "how to install with capability mode". Follow the instruction on capability mode and do the install. this will take about 5 minutes or less.
b) If this is just a driver and not a executable install: Just install the driver like normal.
4) Restart and your done.
5) If there was other software provided my the Scopes manufacturer. You should also use the capability mode to install it.
The Scope's driver will only talk to the driver for the GPIB, and it doesn't care how the hardware interface is. The GRIB's drivers are responsible for the hardware interface. This would have been true if it was a AT-GPIB card. Use the capability mode and the old software problems disappears.
