How do you compile/link sample.cc which was included in the GPIB package?

I'm having trouble getting started with the GPIB. I want to compile the sample.cc program that was included in my GPIB package but according to the manual it is necessary to link to the borlandc_gpib-32.obj. I'm not sure how to do this sucessfully. I keep getting errors. I am using a free C/C++ compiler called bloodshed but would be willing to use any other free C/C++ compiler that you know of if this might be the problem.

Can anyone help direct me to some more information on compiling a simple C program or point me to other sample programs.

thanks,

Audrey

Let me be more clear. I don't have Borland and therefore cannot link to the borlandc_gpib.obj file when I compile. Trying to do so gives the error that the borlandc_gpib.obj file is unreadable. I was hoping to find a similar file (.o or .a) to link to instead.

Isn't there a .obj or .lib file (probably without "borland" in the name") which is "microsoft compatible" ?  Try that instead.
If that doesn't help: Please identify the GPIB driver package, you are using more exactly (name, version etc.).
