How do i (send to) and (retrieve from) my NI-8451 DAQ device using C#

I have installed measurement studio and I have been following the guideline in adding the dll. I have found the .fp file and the .dll file. but when i try to add the .fp file it 

shows an error. the error says "Instrument prefix missing from within the function panel (.fp) file. To continue generation, modify the file to contain an instrument prefix."

What should I do

Hey WHIZ_KID,

Like I said, the solution I posted will only work if you have Measurement Studio, not just Visual Studio. If you are getting a specific error number or something like that I can look into it and see if there is a known solution.

I have both measurement studio and visual studio and i am following the guidelines you showed me... but it is showing me an error and it is telling me to modify the .fp file of ni845x the error it is showing is "Instrument prefix missing from within the function panel (.fp) file. To continue generation, modify the file to contain an instrument prefix." and I am currently stocked.

Please can I the release version of the Ni845x .dll file....

Also i am facing difficulty activating my Measurement Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 Development System.... I have the licence number (M75X93328). I tried activating by the internet but it failed I also tried by the e-mail using my computer ID but it also failed. So can I get the activation code for it.
