How can I get NI Spy 2.3?

A customer has recorded an NI Spy file to help me debug a problem with some VB6 software.  However he has used NI Spy 2.3, and I only have version 2.2.  How can I get hold of version 2.3 ?

Hi,

  NI-Spy isn't available as a separate download, but is included in various drivers you can download.

Obviously make sure you're not going to overwrite a version of a driver you're using, just in case something you're doing is tied specificly to your version of VISA, CAN, 488.2 or VXI

(I have NI-Spy 2.4 with NI-VISA 4.0)

Hi Sacha,

Thanks for your reply.  Its interesting that despite searching the NI site high and low, for info concerning NI Spy, I was unable to find the page you sent the link for.

Anyway, I did try installing the VISA 4.0 runtime, but this did not upgrade the NI Spy.  Do I need to install the full development version?

Hi,

  unfortunately we don't appear to have a list of what version of NI-Spy is included in which exact installer, however, given the fact that my installer actually came from a driver CD set, then if you'd like to put your e-mail address on here, we can discuss this off-line, and I can send you a copy of the latest driverCD which contains ni-spy. (That way you don't have to put your postal address on the forum!!)

The installer for NI-488.2 2.3 includes ni-spy 2.0 so we're definitely looking for something more recent than that.

Oh - just noticed you did the run-time verison - you'll need the development version to get it.
