Has anyone dealt with a Granville-Phillips 307 vacuum gauge?

I am trying to create a controller on/off switch for the degas device and nothing seems to be working. Any advice?

What sort of interface do you have to the controller - RS232, RS485, or GPIB?

RS232, but now I have gotten the degas switch to work but only after resetting the machine.... could there be a way to avoid this?
