GPIB with NES Nintendo controller

Help with using an Nes Nintendo controller with a GPIB device.  I am trying to use Labview to control an electric car on an electric track by use of a nintendo controller.  I am unsure where the pinouts of the nintendo controller (clock, data out, and latch) should go.  Can you help?

Geneseo, with regards to the NES controller pinouts take a look at the link below
http://pinouts.ru/Game/snescontroller_pinout.shtml
That should get you started.

The game controller does not have a GPIB interface so you simply can't connect it to a GPIB bus. Not unless you have completely rewired the controller, added a GPIB talker/listener chip, and written a lot of firmware for it.

I'm pretty sure you could use a game pad designed for a pc and plug it into the game port or if it had a USB connection, use that. LabVIEW has a built-in function for reading a joystick (Functions>Connectivity>Input Device Control) and I believe the game pads appear to the OS as a joystick.
