There are a few help files that are installed on your system. If you are using Windows, you can access the help files from Start>>Programs>>National Instruments>>NI-488.2>>NI-488.2 Help. This help will give you access to all of the low level driver commands of the 488.2 interface. You can also use the example programs that are installed on your hard drive to understand the commands as well. They are located in your National Instruments Directory (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-488.2\Languages).
If you run into any errors or need help with the initial setup, you could search ni.com for KnowledgeBases on those problems.
