GPIB ISA vs PCI

I am re-hosting test software on a new PC using PCI GPIB.  We were using a ISA GPIB. The test equipment is from the 80's and there is no drivers for the equipment.  The scan for devices does not find the equipment out at address 5.  The ibfind does not see the equipment.  Initial testing had communication between the GPIB and the old test equipment but we quickly lost communication.  Using IBDEV I am able to do IBWRT but the entire string is not sent (as seen by the analyzer).  

It seems as though there are timing issues with the new PC GPIB card and the old peace of test equipment.

probably the speed of operation is way too fast for an old instrument.

try to adjust in the gpib settings the

1) busspeed to 2 microseconds (default= 500ns)

2) disable automatic parallel poll

and try again
