GPIB Analyzer file format

I am just writing a more "hand-some" GPIB Analyzer with graphic line status display, timing diagramm.
At the moment, I use the "Export" feature and store the files in text form. It would be much easier (and save 90 % of disc space!) if the raw data which are stored via "Save" could be read.
I used a hex editor to have a look at the format. Data and control lines are alternating, and the timing seams to be added at the end. Are there any detailed informations on the format?

By the way, the analyzer which I just develop will be for free.

Anybody knows about the exact file format?

Best regards,

Martin.

Martin,

We appreciate your ideas and admire your initiative in wanting to provide such an application. However, if we did update the Analyzer GUI in the future, potentially your application could break. I am not saying that you wouldn't write a robust application. There could be low-level changes needed to improve the GUI that your application would depend on. If many customers were using this application, they would need additional support.

So, while your request is straightforward, it could have many long-term repercussions. We do strive to improve usability and provide our customers with high quality software, so we would rather work with you to get your feedback to do what's best for all.

We are investigating the possibility of updating the GUI
in future releases. If you could provide more details regarding your suggestion at the E-mail NI option from the http://www.ni.com/ask page, we can document your suggestions in our database for further evaluation. All information you could provide as far as aesthetics, features, ease-of-use, etc. would be most helpful.
