Fast data transfer HP3458

I am in need of an example in C/C++ (I'm in Borland Builder but that's not the issue) that demonstrates the setup and

execution for fast data transfer from the HP3458 to the host PC.  I am running an experiment that needs to see changes

on a short time scale (sub millisecond).  The HP3458 manual is confusing in terms of how to convert the "DINT" output

format back to floating point.  If anyone has done this before I would appreciate a tip or two.

        There is a non-certified CVI Plug and Play instrument driver for your instrument that might give you a good starting point.
