Chassis Pxi-1042

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

Currently i am controlling chassis PXi-1042 via mxi card.

My pc does not recognize my Pxi as soon as it switchs off. So to resolve the probleme i need to restart the computer.

Do you have any solution please? My computer take a lot of time to turn on (around 30min) and i do not want to format it.

Thankyou for you answer.

What is happening is that the PC powers up prior to the PXI chassis being ready to communicate.  The PC then corrupts the configuration/communication of the PXI chassis and locks it up.

Those older PXI chassis require about 4 seconds to configure themselves during power-up sequencing.  You need to power up your PC about 4 seconds after the PXI chassis receives power.  There are delayed power switches that will permit this to occur in an automated fashion.
