BSOD caused gpibprtk.sys

When I plug my GPIB-USB-B device in to my Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop, it begins to install the necessary drivers and then blue-screens.
My OS is Windows Vista.
I have installed the NI-488.2 v2.4 drivers.

From the windows vista event log:

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:    BlueScreen

Attached is the minidump file for the crash. The call-stack wasn't much, but ended at:
gpibprtk.sys ( gpibprtk+1ebc3 )

To get the dump file to attach correctly, I renamed it with a .txt extension. To view it, please change the extension to .dmp

If more information is needed to solve this problem, please let me know.

Hi Paul,

National Instruments GPIB drivers for Windows Vista are not yet available for NI products, so these problems may persist if you are using a version of NI-488.2 that does not support Windwos Vista OS. These drivers will be released as soon as they are complete.

We have been using 14 dell instruments (780,790, T3400 models) withWindows XP SP2 and NI drivers v 2.4.

We are using this computers for acquire the data from API 4000 MASS spectrometers. Recently we have been facing the blue screen issues on almost all computers.

The message is as below.

gpibprtk.sys - adress A7AB35b1 base at A7AA1000, Datestamp 42db4b62

can you please let me know the reasonfor this correction action?

Have you tried the current driver? If the blue screen problems just recently started happening, then I would suspect one of the windows updates. Windows sp3 is the current release of XP. You could update to that as well.
