Agilent 82357A Working with LabVIEW 8.2.

I am in the process of trying to get an Agilent 82357A working with LabVIEW 8.2.1 on a laptop.  When I run MAX, under the Devices and Interfaces I see “No VISA resources found” that displays the following error:

VISA error code:

0xBFFF0011 (VI_ERROR_RSRC_NFOUND)

If I go to the Software section and under NI-VISA Passports section I do have the NiVisaTulip.dll selected.  I do not get Interactive VISA, grayed out.

I am running Agilent’s IO Library Suite and have confirmed that the interface does see and can communicate with my test equipment, also verified with Agilent VEE Pro 6.0.  The Agilent VISA is the primary VISA and the “Agilent GPIB cards for 488 programs” is enabled.

I have looked on the NI forums and technical support and followed the suggestions but to no avail.  I am not sure what I am missing, probably something simple.  Also I did not originally install LabVIEW, this was done by the IT department and they are not knowledgeable in the interfacing to test equipment world

Here is a listing of the configuration

Computer:

IBM/Lenovo T60p

OS:

Windows XP w/ SP2

Agilent IO Library Suite:

15.0.10528.0

LabVIEW:

8.2.1

MAX:

4.2.1

NI-VISA:

4.1

NI-488.2:

2.5

Thanks for any guidance.

The issue that you are currently seeing is related to the Agilent I/O libraries version.  The following KnowledgeBase: How Do I See My Agilent 82357A GPIB-USB Interface in MAX/LabVIEW? explains in more detail about this specific issue.  Please reference the notes section.
