I am currently using an NI-RT PXI controller as an EtherCAT master to several slaves chained together (INDCOM version 2.3 with LabVIEW 2011 SP1). I have found if one of the slaves is removed from the network it becomes impossible to transition the scan engine to active mode without manually removing the device using LabVIEW development studio and the project. Does anyone know a way to allow the master to detect the missing slave and return to operation without manual intervention from LabVIEW?
