Boston Metal is commercializing cutting edge extractive metallurgy technology that will revolutionize primary metals production by improving metal quality while decreasing cost and lowering environmental impact. This fast-paced startup company is looking for an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join the team.
Duties will include managing and improving existing industrial instrumentation, controls systems, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI’s), P&ID’s as well as wiring diagrams. Additional activities will be to facilitate architecting and developing new industrial plant controls in support of new high temperature industrial electrolysis cells for tonnage metals production.

Required experience and skills:
5+ years of research or engineering experience in technical environment conducting and managing industrial instrumentation and controls systems. BS Degree (or MS) from accredited university or college in one or more of the following area: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Chemical Engineering.

Labview Software (expert level)
National Instruments Hardware: CompactDAQ, RIO, etc.
Data Acquisition
Wiring Diagrams
Controls Cabinet development
Materials Process Engineering
Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s)
Industrial Automation
Industrial Networks
Analysis Scripting in Matlab
Experience working in small teams & start-up atmosphere
