I need to sample an 8usec analog pulse at a high rate (~2MHz) across 16 channels in "real time" (I need to catch all pulses). The pulses occur on each channel sequentially -- separated by at least 2x the pulse width (so we can take differential measurements -- pulse on vs off). Is there a "windowed" scanning configuration to rapidly switch between channels at full sample rate for the PCIe-6361? Ideally I'd trigger on Ch0 (for example) sample at 2MHz for 16usec and then then switch to Ch1, and and continue to Ch15. Interleaved or round-robin scanning wont work.
Simultaneous sampling HW isn't viable for the channel count (nor is it really needed).
Noise prevents us from discriminating between summed channels 🙂
I have fair experience with signal processing and NI DAQ cards but I've never sampled in this way. (nor have i processed data this fast) I need to be sure this is viable before recommending the hardware architecture.
