A Nexus conditioning amplifier, sound sensor and driver Scope SFP, use Labview?

I am a Research Assistant at SMU and I am using the DAQScope 5102 card attached to a Nexus conditioning
Amplifier (Bruel & Kjaer) as a hardware and i have tried to run all this equipment using the
driver Scope Soft Front Panel  PCI -5102 but I can't obtain relevant information and don't
really know exactly what type of measurements is giving, although it seems is voltage versus time,
but don't know if is in the frequency domain, time domain or what. I would like to see if you have knowledge
of any software that I could use with this card and  hardware or a manual about the Scope Soft Front Panel to learn
how to use it and what are the measurements obtained.
I tried to use Labview but when I install it, the DAQ solutions button is disabled I don't know why, I already
uninstalled Labview and try to install it one more time but again it wasn't enabled, because I wanted to
detect the Scope through Labview, so Labwiew doesn't show me the icons of NISCOPE init, NISCOPE read, etc.

Hello Gus18,

To use your device in LabVIEW, you need to be sure to install NI-SCOPE support for LabVIEW.  If you re-install NI-SCOPE after you have installed LabVIEW, the driver will recognize that LabVIEW is installed and it will include the necessary VIs.

When using the NI-SCOPE Soft Front Panel (SFP) the first thing you should see is the voltage waveform versus time.  If you would like to perform measurements, click on Window >> Measurements.  Here you can add or remove measurements and assign them to a specific channel (frequency, amplitude, phase, etc...)

You can always use the NI High Speed Digitizers Help document if you run into problems.  You can find this be pressing Start >> All Programs >> National Instruments >> NI-SCOPE >> Documentation

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi, ok I had no problems installing Labview 7.1 and then after that, the scope and LabView seems to recognize it and everything looks ok. Now when I move the card into the computer it doesn't recognizes it  and i have a card DAQscope NI-5102, and also at the same time when it opens the Scope instead of being 2.6.1 it says 2.0.1, should I download a newer version and when I installed the scope should I have the card already set in my computer so hardware is recognized?

Hi Gus18,

What version of NI-SCOPE are you using?  What revision of the PCI-5102 are you using (the only letter in the device's part number: 183612X-01)?  Where do you see that it is NI-SCOPE 2.0.1?  Revision E or higher of the NI 5102 requires NI-SCOPE 2.6.1 or higher.

You should leave the hardware uninstalled until after you have installed NI-SCOPE.
