Recording RPM in FlexLogger

Solved!
Go to solution

Am I able to record RPM of a motor shaft using FlexLogger?  I'm using NI-9229 to record current going into the motor and wanted to use the same card to also record the RPM.  I can acquire more equipment if needed, but I do NOT have LabVIEW at this time - just FlexLogger.  Thanks.

Hi brethigh,

Yes, you are able to record RPM of a motor shaft using FlexLogger. The C Series module you will use for this will depend on what type of sensor you have to measure the RPM of the shaft. If you have a sensor that produces a voltage signal which you can translate into RPM, you could use the same voltage modules you currently have. As you will see in the attached image (I simulated a NI 9229) and have a channel configured for current and another that I am configuring from RPM. Let me know if you have any questions about this.
