Not necessarily.
If you are using a controller module such as the cFP-2220 to run a program on, then yes.
But if you are using a network module such as a cFP-1804, then the program runs on a Windows PC and the real time module should not be necessary.

Hi !
Thank you for the responses. :womanhappy:
I don't want to use the stand-alone embedded-controller of the cFP-2220 but rather the Pc with LabView for data logging and graphics (using Ethernet).
Is LabView Real-time for my application necessary ?

Hi,
if you just wanna use Labview for logging and graphics (using Ethernet) AND you do NOT use a Real-Time cFP-Controller then you do not need Labview Real Time.
E.g. if you use NI cFP-1804 - Ethernet/Serial Interface for Compact FieldPoint.

If you are using a Real Time Controller than you will NEED Labview Real-Time.
You cannot work without it!!!
