I am output bits to an FP-DO-401. Can I read them back later to see what is on?

I have LV running a FP system.  It is writing bits to a FP-DO-401.  Can I use LV vi's to READ the output register of the module to see which bits are on?

   Of course, you just have to read outputs of the module, just like it was an input module (Optomux Read-Digital.vi as an example).
