FieldPoint Item and LabVIEW RT data points

Does anyone know how the LabVIEW RT data points are to be configured to show up in the Address List window when Create New LabVIEW Item that is under the cFP-2220 folder in Measurement n Automation Explorer?

Hi DLWrkrBee,

To make your FieldPoint items show up under Data Neighborhood in Measurement & Automation Explorer, you will need to right-click on the FieldPoint under Remote Systems and select Find Devices.

Hi Chris,

What I am trying to do is find out what the item is in MAX and if I can get real time data via the following. If you have the Controller setup already in the iak file  go to Data Neighborhood>> FieldPoint Items>> expand the folder of the setup and go to the cFP-2220 folder; right click on that folder and “Create new item” select the “LabView Item” and Continue…. Now this is the item I am asking about. How is this used and can it be link to the serial port if I have it setup in the VI program? If so how are LabVIEW RT data points are to be configured to show up in the Address List window?

Sorry for the confusion.

If on the FieldPoint you publish variables using this technique, they will show up in that window.
