Hello,
I recently ran a test with an NI Field Point Strain Guage Model 140. When i conducted the test the red light came on which meant I have exceeded the systems power and need to move to a lower voltage for future tests.
What I want to know is what the field point does when the red light turns on , does it go to 5V or change current? I want to know this in an effort to sort out the data I took from the first test because at this point I cannot run another test.
Thanks for the Help,
WTubb

Hi WTubb,
In the user manual it states that the red LED that the bridge resistance is lower than the minimum and you have an overcurrent situation. (see page 7 of the manual).
To resolve this you should use a larger resistance.
Have a great day!
